Currently, in course "Settings", the only "Format" options available for selection are: "Not Set", "On-Campus", "Online", and "Blended". We have may more delivery methods than just the ones that are given here, but they don't all necessarily apply for our needs, or they only partially apply. There are no options to either add-to and/or customize this list to be able to run detailed reports based on course delivery method using built-in Canvas reporting tools or other third-party reporting tools.
We are considering appending a name or code representing the delivery method to the end of our course title as a way for us identify courses with one delivery method vs. another. It would be helpful for us to be able to add additional formats that we could then select from in a course "Settings" screen. Ideally, if we could add more delivery formats, our SIS (we use Colleague) would have the delivery method set at the SIS, and then when data is sent from the SIS to Canvas, the "Format" field is filled in with that matching data.
