One of my faculty deleted an inappropriate discussion post made by one of the students in her/his class. The next day, the faculty realized that s/he should have documented the reply in case s/he needs it as a proof in the future. However, there is no way to recover the deleted post. If a student !Report a discussion reply, the instructors can only edit or delete it to prevent the rest of class from reading it. The instructor can take a screenshot and delete it. But it would be better if the instructor can hide the reply from the rest of class.
It would be helpful to have an option that allows the instructor and the Admin to hide an offensive discussion post from the class.
