[Files] Add an interactive activities folder to the files section from which exe files can be run

Problem statement:

I have an educational game for my students to play that is entirely self-contained. The files need a place to be saved, and then an exe file runs from the same folder where those are saved. I investigated with canvas support and they confirmed that the files section intentionally does not allow that, which is a problem preventing an existing interactive learning opportunity from being available to my class.

Proposed solution:

I propose that a folder be available in the files section from which exe files can be run. This would provide a location from which files such as this game could be run. Interactive games improve the educational experience with active learning opportunities, and integrating them into canvas should be the future of online learning. A separate folder would allow whatever oversight a college chose to require to be required prior to approving the use of the uploaded exe files.

Thank you for this idea. Agree completely with your sentiment that interactive games improve the educational experience and should be encouraged; however, this is not something we can prioritize in the near future and will not be considered at this time.
