[Gradebook] Manual Dropping of a grade for a student

Problem statement:

How i run my class is each assessment contains standards and I test each standard a minimum of 3 times and keep the top 2 scores. I also use weighted groups to make my assessments 75% of the grade and assignments 25% of the grade. If I want to use the auto drop feature, I have to set up each standard as its own group and figure out how what percent it should represent. I usually have 11-13 standards in term because of what I teach, and I sometimes test it more than 3 times but still only keep the top two scores. This means that I have lots of groups making up very small portions of the grade (that is not always accurate) and I have to keep changing the number dropped. The other option is to simply excuse all but the top two scores. The problem with that is that it erases the score they got so I can no longer see what it was. I either have to store the grades elsewhere or make a comment on each individual student that I change.

Proposed solution:

The the solution I would like to see is to have dropped be a marker I can add to an assignment score (like I can currently do for missing, late and excused). It would mark that particular assignment grade as dropped, so it is not counting on the student's grade like excused does or the automatic drop does, but does not erase the score so I and the student can clearly see what all their attempts were.
