If a student transfers from another school and provides a grade average, it can take several minutes to input the average into every graded assignment (that was given prior to student's arrival). If all my grades were out of 100, that would not be too difficult, but I have several graded assignments worth anywhere from 1 to 72 points. For example, if I get a transfer grade of 87%, I would have to calculate 87% of 5 points, 87% of 25 points, and etc.
It would save a lot of time, and help prevent errors, if there was an option to type in the transfer average, and have all graded assignments (for that student) populate to that average.
