The current student progress display of the modules page shows teachers what each student has remaining to complete, but it does not provide a summary for the class. Analytics provides class summaries a day or so after the progress is made, but it does not have any real time updates or list module completion rates. Teachers could use a way to see the percent complete for each activity, in order to provide just in time support for class progress. For example, when students in a class report that something does not work, the teacher would benefit from a quick real-time view of how many students have passed the reported hurdle.
The proposed solution is to have a class progress display of the modules page that shows a progress bar next to each module activity displaying the percent of the class that has completed the activity - in real time with auto updates to the page.
