[Modules] Completion Option for Choice Boards: Earn X/Y total points

Problem statement:

I want to use modules to meter student progression through a course, but am being limited by the "all of" or "one of" options for module completion. I want to be able to have students complete 25 points of work (graded, and earning at least 25 points) before moving on to the next module. I want to have separate 5-15 point assignments, so that students can choose to do several smaller assignments or fewer larger ones. There might be eight assignments in a module: four 5s, three 10s, and a 15. A student could do any combination of assignments, as long as their total in the module is at least 25. Once the total is at least 25, the module auto-marks as complete (and a canvas credentials badge could be awarded based on module completion), and the next module (with this as its pre-req) unlocks. The current workaround is to have a 25 point "choice board" assignment, and a bunch of doesn't-count-towards-the-grade 5-15 point assignments, and then I have to manually update the sum earned so far in the "choice board" assignment for each student (and can use the earned X/Y points module completion check to confirm that the choice board assignment had enough points). This wastes a lot of my time as an educator because I have to manually look at all of the assignments in that group to determine if a student has earned enough points to progress.

Proposed solution:

The module requirements would include a "X total points" option. I could select "X total points" for the module, and enter 25. A student could complete as many assignments within the module as they want to attempt, and then when I grade, if their total passes 25, the module is automatically marked as complete. This would make it easier for teachers to allow for differentiation of process and product. Instead of needing every student to complete the same project, students could select from a choice board of options to learn and demonstrate their understanding.

I also don't want to just use assignment groups and drop the lowest N assignments, for the following reasons:

1. I want to be able to use weighted assignment groups, and having 10 different "classwork" assignments doesn't work for that.

2. I want to have a choiceboard where students choose one of two quizzes (which count towards the quiz category) and 2 of 3 written assignments (which count towards the classwork category).

3. I want to use Badgr to award badges based on module completion, which means that the module needs to be considered "complete" when the 1/2 quizzes and 2/3 classwork assignments have been completed with a score of at least some cutoff value for each individual assignment (I can already say "complete all of these assignments, with a score of at least [cutoff score]" with different cutoff scores for different assignments)
