[New Quizzes] Notify Users When Total Points Value and Individual Question Point Values Differ
When creating a New Quiz, instructors must identify the total point value of the quiz prior to building the quiz questions, and assigning a point value to each question. This creates the opportunity for mismatched total points possible, which can be problematic for students and instructors. The scenario is further complicated when student submit quizzes and the instructor updates the total points value afterwards. First, the student's grade can drop, causing concern, and instructors must manually regrade each individual submission to update grades.
A simple solution would be to create a dialogue box alerting instructors of the discrepancy between total points and individual question points. This would allow instructors to confirm the point value that will determine students grades, before causing the above scenario.
