Problem statement:
The RCE in new quizzes gives students an option to upload prior content, which is not appropriate for assessments that expect a real-time response. If a file upload was the intended method of assessment, the file upload question type would have been selected. This can confuse students especially when lockdown browser blocks their access to uploading a file that the response blank seems to offer them an opportunity to upload.
I propose that teachers be given an option to disable and/or hide the upload options for documents, images, and other media in question types for which the RCE will be the response field (i.e. essay questions). This allows teachers to determine that responses to questions in an assessment are to be completed at the time of the new quiz.
