[New Quizzes] calculator calculation history
When I include a question-dependent calculator for in a New Quiz, I see a screen that behaves like the desired scientific calculator. This helpful feature only has two challenges that slow the learning process: a) character and function entry into the calculator requires a mouse or clicking, and b) the calculations history is lost on each calculation.
When I include a question-dependent calculator for in a New Quiz, I see a screen that behaves like the desired scientific calculator. Two features would help use this tool for classroom learning purposes: a) allow keyboard entry into the calculator, and b) preserve the calculations history. An example for solution b can be found by opening the calculator "desmos.com/calculator", entering a calculation such as "sqrt(170(0.88)(0.12))", and pressing "return". The previous entry and calculation are left in a previous line, and new calculations are then permitted without loosing the previous support and results. My Statistics classes would benefit tremendously from exposure to such a decisions record, during our Canvas class quiz activities.
