New Rich Text Editor - open in full extent

Currently when opening an existing item, the new RTE opens with only a few lines of text.  I have to type something for it to open to the full extent.  I would really like an option for it to automatically open to the full extent of the text.

This idea has been developed and deployed to Canvas

The New Rich Content Editor supports fullscreen mode. This change allows users to view a full screen version of the editor.

I just tried the New RCE's new full screen mode on Beta. Full screen mode can be opened from the View menu or by clicking the button to the lower right of the text entry field, but it can only be closed from the View menu. I don't think I would have known how to close it if I had not read the release notes first. There should be a prominent, persistent button/link to close full screen mode (perhaps at the top right).

In the meantime, pressing the escape key exits full screen view.
