[Notifications] Customisable Email Notifications Subject Line
At the moment, when we delay announcements a system generated email is sent out to all observers and students. The title of this can be quite long and it can be hard for users to distinguish between subjects. The subject line structure is currently: “Announcement Title”: “Course name (from Canvas field)” To make it easy to distinguish about what subject the email is about, our instructors (/teachers) are putting "Subject Name: Announcement description" as the Announcement title. But it leads to very long subject lines.
It would be ideal to select what appears in email Subject lines and what order. It seems most sensible for us to have the Course name first (not last) so that the user can easily see what course the email is about, then read the more minute details within the Announcement title. If nothing else, would be good for this to be customisable per instance.
