We would like a way to quickly invite faculty into a current or past course to view course materials -- including discussion forum prompts -- without their being able to view student messages, grades, or submissions.
- The Observer role does this for the current term, but not for concluded courses
- For our customized Teacher role, discussion forum prompts are hidden along with posts
- In current courses, the customized Teacher role receives student messages to the instructor
- Adding users to concluded courses requires us to change the semester of the course, add the user, then change the semester back (based on our department's administrative permissions)
