[Reports] Log of course administrative observers of course needed

Problem statement:

A log of course administrative observers who have accessed the course is needed to see who has entered the course. This feature was available in Blackboard when I used it, and it was helpful because each time an administrator entered the course, a formal observation had to be written up and made available to the instructor. Canvas does not provide this necessary feature.

Proposed solution:

Please make this feature available in whatever format works best. A log of course administrative observers who have accessed the course is needed to see who has entered the course. Hello, Kristin,

Palm Beach State College used Blackboard prior to using Canvas. In that LMS, faculty had the ability to see who was observing the class. Just as administrators cannot enter a professor's face-to-face class without a valid reason, they also cannot enter a virtual classroom without a valid reason. Therefore, upon entering the space, an administrator is required to write an observation report, share it with the faculty, and file it with their records. The act of entering the class initiated a specific process.

Currently, Canvas circumvents this process because faculty cannot determine if an administrator has entered the class. I thought I would find this information in "Settings" under "Current Users." However, after a scheduled annual observation, I could find no evidence that an admin had entered my course.
