[SpeedGarder] Needs Google Docs Style UI for Grading/Commenting on Student papers
The UI for Canvas comments after students submit is really lacking in some ways. It always underlines more than I intend and is unwieldy. Students have to redownload paper and many times might miss feedback due to the download/re-upload process. Please fix this so that multiple drafts can exist with comments and track comments in ONE assignment. Right now, I have to make 3 assignments to count for ONE assignment. I have used the Google external tool almost exclusively due to this, but I am now teaching students in China who do not have access to Google, and this means I have to use the process of multiple assignments with them.
Please create a UI like Google Docs for essay/document comments and drafting process that allows multiple drafts in ONE assignment. This would make life a lot easier for teachers and students who work with those in China or other areas where Google products are not allowed or used. It would also keep users IN Canvas and remove a layer of complexity. Also, the Canvas UI is not intuitive, nor easy to access for many students.
