Last year, assignment submission comments from teachers would load regardless of how many attempts a student used to submit - so that if a student submitted a third draft or a resubmission of flawed work, teachers could read their own comments on various resubmissions on the same page (without having to click the individual resubmission). I checked the Speedgrader and confirmed that the comment are attached on the submission of your students and I tried to replicate it on my own course by doing an assignment with the same settings as yours but it shows me the comment on Speedgrader I've notice the difference. On your Speedgrader it shows "Comments for this attempt" but, on my Speedgrader it shows "Assignment Comments" just like the guide showing below. How do I leave feedback comments for student submissions in SpeedGrader? So I asked assistance from our L2 team and confirmed that the assignment that we checked uses Assignment Enhancement. You can check What is Assignment Enhancements in here. Teachers can not disable this setting. It is set up by admins for the entire instance. My hope is that a teacher comment will load on the speedgrader page regardless of which submission it was left on -- the timestamp is all a teacher needs to make sense of when they left the comment. THis prevents teachers from forgetting their prior submission comments or grading unnecessary work.
