We regularly use the speech-to-text feature in SpeedGrader to provide timely, personalized feedback to students. This tool is designed to streamline grading and improve efficiency. However, the current implementation does not automatically insert capitalization, punctuation, or sentence breaks. As a result, instructors often need to spend additional time manually editing feedback to make it readable and professional, which negates some of the efficiency benefits of using speech-to-text in the first place.
We would like to request an enhancement to the speech-to-text functionality within SpeedGrader that: * Automatically capitalizes the first word of sentences. * Inserts basic punctuation (periods, commas, question marks) based on natural pauses in speech. * Improves readability by adding appropriate sentence breaks. This update would make speech-to-text feedback more professional and easier for students to read while also saving instructors valuable grading time. Impact: * Increases grading efficiency by reducing the need for manual editing. * Improves clarity and professionalism of instructor feedback. * Enhances accessibility and user experience for both instructors and students.
