[Student View] A new process to delete Student Test user accounts in bulk after the end of a term
We have been using Canvas for 5 years now, and was not aware that individual Student Test user accounts are created whenever a teacher selects Student View in a course. We have 4 school years of this and it would be apprecciated if there was a process to delete all the Student Test user accounts in bulk without having to remove this account from the section enrollment. This is the answer I received from Canvas support: "If you want to remove the test student completely, you will have to remove the test student from your section enrollments." This will not be feasible for 4 years worth of Student Test accounts that have been created.
It would be easiest to create a csv file with the status of "delete" or "Purge" or similar, to clear all these accounts from our environment in previous terms, regardless of what sections they were created in. This would be to delete entirely from the Canvas instance, not just enrollments. Of course, we would leave the accounts that are in our active terms in place. I only discovered this by running the Last User Access report, which contains a userID that could be specified in the "purge" csv file.
