Two Part Quiz Questions

I was thinking it would be neat if quiz questions could have more than one part.

For example, students could answer a multiple choice question and then provide the rationale for their selection in a text box. When doing this in the current iteration of Canvas, you must put the multiple choice question and text box in separate questions that are numbered Question 1 and Question 2, which might be confusing to students. Saving them as separate questions would also be difficult to manage in Question Banks.

Thanks for your consideration!

This feature will allow teachers to better simulate state test items using Part A and Part B in the same question.

Thanks to everyone who has been commenting on this idea. New Quizzes includes a stimulus item type; using a stimulus, an instructor can attach multiple questions of different types to the same prompt. Please refer to  How do I insert stimulus content in New Quizzes? for more information on how to use a stimulus in the new quiz tool.

Our product teams are no longer developing new functionality on the code base for Old (Classic) Quizzes, which is scheduled for deprecation, and since multi-part question capability has been developed for New Quizzes, we've marked this idea as complete.
