Orientation & Training Course Index (Collaboration)

This collaborative document was created to help organize Orientation and Training Courses that are available for other Institutions to use. All registered users can "Edit" this doc and add their information.

IMPORTANT: this is a collaborative doc, so if someone provides any off base info, let's work together to keep this updated and accurate!

Follow these instructions to share your wisdom:

1. Click "Edit" on the right side of this screen.
2. Determine the appropriate category (below) where your resource should be added (Faculty or Student).
3. Add a row (if needed) - Click the bottom left row-column > Click "Go" to add a row
4. Add your resource!
   1. Type name of resource > Select Text > Press CMD+K (Mac) Ctrl+K (PC) and paste URL to more info > Press Enter
   2. Make a note of the target users for this resource: K-12, Higher Ed (H-Ed), or Both
   3. Enter the cost of the Resource or leave blank if you are unsure (Free, Freemium, Premium)
   4. Press the "@" key > Type your first name, then underscore > Type your last name > Click your name to add. If someone has a question about a tool, they may ping you for more info 😉
   5. Provide a description how the tool is valuable and can help to engage and connect teachers and learners!
5. Click the "Publish" button at the bottom of this screen.

Online Teaching Certification (OTC)	H-Ed	Free	@G_Petruzella	In the Canvas Commons: A 5-week course designed to certify faculty to teach fully-online courses. Covers pedagogy, UX, design, media, troubleshooting.
Canvas Certification: Canvas Essentials Course for Instructors	H-Ed	Free	Heather Garcia	The Canvas Certification course introduces Canvas to new users. Files, Syllabus, Pages, Assignments, Assignment Groups, Discussions, Quizzes, Modules, Student View, Conversations, Announcements, Conferences, Calendar, Scheduler, Grades, Speedgrader, and more Canvas features are covered. Accessibility basics are also introduced.
