Cant view files linked to assignments/other pages canvas mobile

Whenever I try to access a link to a file uploaded to canvas by my teacher anywhere else than the files page, they will never load. When these links are on a assignment or on a different page, a blank white page pops up. This occurs with a pdf, docx, pptx, etc. The files can be viewed through the files page but nowhere else. Running on an android galaxy tab s7 + with canvas and android updated to latest version.

It sounds like an issue with your device specifically. Do they show up fine without issues on a regular browser or different device? I'd try clearing your cache and cookies on the app or even just delete the app altogether and re-install it. This is the "parent" guide but it's the same thing for students:
