Canvas Student Storage on iOS

My canvas app takes up almost 6 gigs on my phone and I noticed that almost all of that is 'Documents & Data". I dug a little deeper and found that its all files from courses I took two years ago that I do not need to access on Canvas anymore. Is there a way to get rid of those files so my Canvas app doesn't take up so much storage?

Looking at unanswered questions, If found yours.  Here is the link for managing files in IOS with Canvas.

It states that you cannot delete files that were submitted to an assignment.  Not sure if that is you main memory hog or not.

Hopefully it will help with your case.

As for the future, my suggestion (purely a suggestion and I have no idea how this would affect anything with your Canvas courses - or what you want to keep information wise) what I would do after every semester is delete the Canvas app and then reinstall it (note this is stated without using the app or knowing what you want to keep).  For all I know there may be a way to completely remove a course from the canvas app and all of its material.
