It won't let me receive notifications from my phone. My phone is registered in the canvas site. I went to the settings in my phone to allow canvas to send me notifications. Each time I try to access the notification preferences from the app, it says push notifications are not registered for this device. Right now, I have it set to send me text messages, but I prefer to receive notifications from the app. Thank you.

There seems to be some issues with the Text messaging and notifications, particularly with Verizon customers.  Check out these other posts:

I'm waiting for Canvas Support Chat to pick up so I can find out if there are any updates because it's still not working for us.

Just to note, SMS notifications will be retired in May 2020 - Upcoming Canvas Changes Feature Clarifications‌

 @KristinL ‌ Thank you for the update! It's been so busy/chaotic that I haven't had time to ready about upcoming changes.  I don't suppose they could wait until the end of Spring quarter (so mid-June) for those of us on quarter systems. I'll go there and request.
