How to restore the old To Do list interface for Canvas mobile

Recently, my canvas app updated and changed the To-Do list interface. Previously, the mobile canvas had a list of assignments due within the next week. I loved this feature and used it to organize my schoolwork for the upcoming week. Now, the mobile To-Do list resembles the browser canvas To-Do list. It contains not only upcoming assignments, but also calendar events. Most of these events are my regular lectures and office hours that do not need to be viewed in my To-Do list. Additionally, the assignments are not removed from the list when they are completed, and old assignments do not remain on the To-Do list if they are not completed. This is extremely frustrating, as the To-Do list provided a perfect way to manage my coursework workload. Is there a way that the previous To-Do list can be restored, and if not, can that feature be added?

As of today, uninstalling and then reinstalling the app seems to fix the issue.
