Hi all,
As required for an online course at a city college I am taking a deeper dive into the vast and deep resource we all know as CANVAS. I have set my preferences and tested to see if I set everything up correctly.
Aside from that, how do I access discussions or announcements if they are not displayed in the navigation pane? Especially on the mobile app for iOS? Also, what is the "labels" option at the bottom of the page when generating an email for (pardon my digital literacy).
Thanks,
Student

Thanks for your question, @TylerHill. If a link like Discussions is hidden on the Course Menu, student access to those items is hopefully provided by the instructor through links on the Modules page or elsewhere in a course. For example, in my courses the Discussions link on Course Navigation menu is hidden. Content discussions are linked from Modules and the Q&A discussion is linked from the homepage, so my students can access those items within context.
I'm not sure what the labels option is that you mention. When I create a message using the Conversations (Inbox) tool using the Canvas Student app, I'm not asked for a label.
I'm going to mark this reply as a solution, which will help others in the Community with similar questions. If you can reply with more information your email question, that will help your Community colleagues answer that question too.
