[ARCHIVED] Which mobile versions have background app refresh?

I'm an instructor with the "Teacher" and "Parent" Canvas mobile apps. My question is about "background app refresh" on the iPhone. When I go to my Settings, neither of my Canvas apps are listed. I'm assuming this is because it's not available on the apps. My question is, which, if any, of the Canvas mobile apps have the background app refresh capability on an iPhone?

Hello @mather 

I was able to look into this for a bit for you. 

From what I found, It looks like the Canvas apps(Teacher, Student, and Observer) do not have an option available for Background App Refresh in the iOS settings.

Not exactly sure why that is. I assume it might be a limitation or due to something with how the app is configured on iOS devices. However, you do have the ability to reset cache on your next launch. 

I did see that an idea was presented on this HERE for the Canvas mobile apps.
