How do Showcase Portfolio attachments affect user storage quota?

In discussing actual use of the Showcase Portfolio it was found that students will be required to attach a lot of files over their 6 to 7 semesters in the program and that brought to light a couple of questions that I can't find answers to in the Canvas Guides. 

1. Will files attached as a part of evidence become a part of a user's files like Assignment submissions? 
2. Will attached files count against a users file storage quota?

Hi @ldavenport4015,

Thanks for the question! We don’t use the Canvas user quota for Portfolios. The limits are:

• Single file: 25 MB

• Total portfolio storage per user: 1000 MB

Files over these limits will not upload.
