Accumulated Content Size

I know that the maximum file size for uploading is 500MB per file.

What I want to know is if there is a cap on accumulated size of all the course contents per course.

Sorry to see that your question has been sitting out here unanswered for quite a while.  If you are a Canvas administrator, you can set the "default" value (size) for all courses in your Canvas account by following the information in this Guide: How do I set storage quotas for an account?.  But, admins can override the default per course in case a course needs a bit more extra space to store files within course "Files".  You might also want to reach out to your school's CSM (Customer Success Manager) at Instructure if you have any other questions about course storage limits.
