[ARCHIVED] An Available Date for Pages

Is there a way to create a page and publish it, but set it so it won't be available until a certain date/time?  I know assignments can do this, but can pages?  If not, they need to add that feature.  Stressed teachers don't always remember to publish things on time and if we could set the time when we create the page, it would make life/school a bit easier.

It's not possible to set a date on Pages, but you can on a Module.  So if you have the page(s) within a Module and set a release date perhaps the might help what you are trying to accomplish.

I wanted to make my Homework Solutions available after the due date of the assessment and I figured out that instead of adding a page to the module and then waiting till the next morning and 'publishing it', I could add the solution as a file.  So you go to the + button in the upper corner of the module and add a file, then select the module (IE HW 2 solutions.pdf) and add, then you can click on the green check mark for publish and scroll down to the 'Schedule availability' bottom and set the date/time you wish for it to be available.  When you are done a red calendar icon replaces the green checkmark to the right and you can hover over it to see when it will be available.  Hope this helps

You could also do that kind of thing as an ungraded assignment, with the bonus that it would be added to the students to-do list.  You could make the title something like "Review Assignment X Solutions" and just put all of your content in like you would on a page.
