In a recent update to Canvas the edit conditions at the bottom of Announcements have changed. There is still the option to allow students to comment, but the option that said a student must post before reading other students´ posts is gone.
Is that the default now? Is it located somewhere else?
I did spend time looking and watched the Instructors´video but it still shows the old options.
Thanks so much.

Hi @patricia_lipsey -- gosh, I never used that feature with Announcements, so I don't even recall that that was an option before. I remember, and often used it with Discussions, but not with Announcements. I do see exactly what you are saying in the Instructor Guide: How do I add an announcement in a course -- I submitted feedback about this to Instructure to revise the guide.

Thanks so much, Hildi. I would much more like them to return that option. I have students answer a question about something in the announcement on Mondays, by replying ,to encourage them to read announcements. I don´t want them just copying another student´s response. It was perfect that they had to post before seeing other students´replies, just like on a discussion.
Thanks so much.
