Assign due date to an external URL

Hello all,

I'm using an OER textbook. I'd like to assign students to read a chapter each week. Right now, I do this by adding a page and then assigning a due date to the page. But, could I just put the external URL into the module with a due date.  Is that possible?

Hi Jesse,

Adding a URL as a module item does not provide the functionality to add a due date. In order to have a due date, you will either need to follow the page workflow as you have mentioned or present the reading as an assignment.
