Some of our faculty are going the route of dropping the two lowest grades. They have some assignments that they want excluded from being dropped. We were chatting about whether to do that by putting all "rule-qualifying" assignments in one group that would have that rule attached vs adding assignments to the "Never Drop" section of the rule. What would be the pros and cons of each?

@JoshAllenCC I think it really comes down to how weighting is working in the course and how clear it would be to students if non-similar assignments were grouped together just to be "non-drop" assignments. I rely on specific weighting by type of assignment and even have different point scales for different assignment types. I could not easily mix and match assignments between groups.
