Automatic reply?

Hello!

I need to be out of my office for a week or so and want to set up automatic email reply. How is this done in Canvas?

This isn't done in Canvas. Canvas is not an email system and does not have much of the functionality of an email system. Automatic replies are part of your email client (Outlook, Gmail, etc.) and that is where you will need to set an email out-of-office notice.

Last evening I stumbled upon a pretty recent blog post by an Instructure employee, and it looks like auto-replies and signatures are coming to the Canvas Inbox soon!  You can find this information (and lots more) at New Features, Big Impact: Enhancing Common Workflows in Canvas LMS.  Hope this helps!
