If you need to prevent users from logging into Canvas, you will need to suspend them. Instead of doing it manually you can simply enter a list of students into this spreadsheet, hit a button and it will do the job for you
Instructions:
This came at just the right time as I've been trying to figure out a way to bulk suspend! Thank you so much for this. It works like a charm.
I'm glad that it's useful for you 😀
I downloaded your spreadsheet. I filled in the information (I tested only about 10 individuals) and I ran the script. I put suspended (and tried suspend also) in the status column - when I run the script it changes status to "error". What am I doing wrong?
"Status" column is for your information only, you don't need to fill that column, I have hard-coded the suspend status.
Did it show the student name in column C (1. Name & Canvas UserID (Debug))?
Please also double check your Canvas URL and Token.
