How do I set up for due dates from assignments and quizzes to automatically go into Calendar?

Hi @CaroleSorrenti -

Any due date associated with an event, assignment, quiz, or discussion will automatically appear on the course calendar for instructors, students, and observers. So, as you build content, when you add the due date/time, it will populate in the calendar without any extra steps. These dated items will also display in a student's to-do list on the dashboard.

How do I add due dates for non assignments, such as the date that the Unit opens, holidays etc?  And do I work on the Student View?  Thx

For non-assignment items, you can use Events. It's a great way of including more details about what is happening in the class, without adding assignments. You can do this from your account, without the use of Student View.

The dates are showing for the student view, but not for me. I am sure there is a setting that needs attention, but I don't know what it is!

I'm still looking to disable the Calendar. If anyone knows how to do this, please let us all know. Thank you.
