In my production Canvas, I have a term and a course belonging to that term. I need to upload an SIS import for users and enrollments. I want to make sure the SIS import I upload does not affect any other parts of my production Canvas. I have a couple of questions:
Thanks for any help anyone can offer!
Hi @ElenaB123 ...
I think I can help answer your first question...which the answer is "no". I'm not sure if you've seen this document, but I wanted to point you to:
What is the Canvas test environment?
In particular, I think the first paragraph will answer your first question.
One thought I had was this... if logged into your "test" environment and then created a new course shell in your term along with creating a new user...then enrolled that user in your course... you could then sign out of your "test" environment and log in to your "production" environment. You would not see that new course in your "production" environment that you created in "test". You'd also not see the new user in "production". The same would hold true with the SIS import (even if you were testing things out with one user and one course shell in your import files).
I'll leave your second question for others to answer...hopefully you'll get a response soon!
