Good day,

Is the collaboration tab under a specific course navigation be private depending on the creator?

I was planning to create a M365 word collab with my group, I was wondering if in case I created one (collab group) in the course, will everyone in the course be notified in their canvas account that I created one as well as view my group? or is it all me and the group and members I added may view my group and works related?

Hi @hregala,

According to How do I create a Microsoft Office 365 collaboration as a student?, you can select who you want to view the collaboration. You can select individual people or groups to collaborate with in your course. However, "your instructor can view and access all collaborations added in the course, even if you do not add your instructor to the collaboration directly."
