We're currently working to upload some National UK standards to Canvas Outcomes with results that promise to deliver some very significant heavy lifting for negligible resource and effort.
We'd like to make the Outcomes menu item available to students, as this gives them quick and sensible access to the relevant learning standards that they are working towards for their qualification. They can see the outcomes in other contexts, but this is generally a much smaller set associated with a specific learning unit or assessment.
When we make Outcomes available to students the options to create an Outcome Group or Outcome are also presented to Students (See "Outcomes") , despite the permissions excluding their ability to edit outcomes being set in sub-account permissions (see final image). This then generates an error message to the student (second image below).
Does anyone know if this is expected behaviour, if we may have set a permission/setting incorrectly somewhere, or if this looks like a bug on the Canvas side?
