Closed Captioning Canvas Videos

Does Canvas have any plans to add their own closed captioning feature for videos created in Canvas rather than having to use Amara?

Adding captioning ability to video is a very big task.  Instructure is using companies and technologies that captioning is their specialty, which it is not Instructure's.  At this time, I do not know if any plans for Instructure to add captioning natively.
