Is there a way to create a poll in CANVAS?

According to https://community.canvaslms.com/thread/8775  there are a couple ways you could set up a poll for your students.  One way is using Conferences.  Please check out these three Canvas Guides:

Or, what you could do is create an ungraded survey (via a quiz) and create as many questions as you want.

Also, can Google Forms be used on Canvas?

I also like to use the "allow liking" option in Discussion Boards, I put an end date on the board so students cant post but they can still like a post that is already there.  Below is an example of what it looks like:

I am gobsmacked that Canvas doesn't have a native way of creating a Poll. Especially, since people have been asking for it for years! 😂

Opinion polls would have to be the most low-cost, low-risk way of encouraging learner engagement in an online course and would be almost identical in mechanics to existing functions such as liking a discussion post.

Its absence is utterly bizarre. It's almost like neglecting to allow the creation of tables or something. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Agree with Chris Lawrence. Canvas is cheap on this matter (and I don't mean cheap here in terms of being low in price). Using an ungraded quiz? You have to wait a day for the results! A conference or discussion? Then two students must give an answer, and all other students must give a like of one of them? Total chaos and untrustworthy. I haven't seen any progress in Canvas since we've started using it in 2018. Five years without innovation is not a standstill, it is **Bleep**.
