Hi everyone,
I have a question regarding cross-listing in Canvas. If I cross-list multiple courses into a single course, will students from different original courses be able to see each other?
Additionally, can groups be created that mix students from the different cross-listed courses?
Thanks in advance for your insights!

Hi @jdurancal
In a crosslisted course, students from all the sections will be able to see each other, unless the students' enrollments have the "limit this user to only see fellow section users" option set on their enrollment. (This is an option that can be set when looking at the person's enrollment directly in the People area, or it can be set as part of the enrollment feed if your school, automatically enrolls users, but by default it is not enabled...)
Yes, you can create groups with users from different sections.

Thanks, Mike!
I have another question: Can Blueprint courses and Cross-Listing be combined?
In our case, we use Blueprints to manage course content, while the associated courses are where the actual teaching takes place. How does this setup work if one of these associated courses is cross-listed?
Thanks in advance for your insights!
When you cross list, you are basically moving the section (which contains the enrollments) over to a different course (which contains the content).
There is no problem with using a Blueprint to manage content in a course which contains multiple crosslisted sections. It's really only necessary to push the Blueprint content out to the course shell that is being used (that is, the one into which the sections have been crosslisted), but it doesn't hurt of the course materials are push from the Blueprint out to all the course shells, even the ones that no longer have anyone in them.
Hi Mike,
I'll need to explore this further.
Thanks.
