Full disclosure, the only Mac devices I own are my iPhone and iPad, so so I don't have much experience with a Mac Air. Are you sure that your OS and browser are up-to-date?
What are the browser and computer requirements for Instructure products?
Have you tried clearing your browser history/cache?
How do I clear my browser cache on a Mac?
Also, have you tried using a different browser entirely...such as Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox?
