Did the ability to add rubrics to an assignment disappear?

I teach middle school. As recently as August, I could add a rubric to my assignments. Now, the +Rubric button is no longer visible to me. First I searched the guides. Then, I looked at other methods that users suggested such as clicking the three dots next to the assignment, but that only shows me the option to delete. 

If others can still add rubrics, the issue might be with my school district and I'll consult them.

The +Rubric button is still there for me.

I would first verify that these are not external tool assignments as you cannot add rubrics to those. Then I would check with your district to see if they changed something.

Thank you. Alas, I think my district changed something because the +Rubric option is not visible for any submission format, not just external tools. I appreciate your time and effort. Hopefully, your reply will be exactly what someone else needs!

I don't know if this will help in your situation, but I hope it does. I don't see the +Rubric button when I edit an assignment, but I do see it when I look at the assignment BEFORE I hit the edit button, or after I Save it.. It took me a long time to find it, since it is an illogical place to have the button.

Thank you for contacting the Canvas Community. We're sorry to hear you've been experiencing issues with adding a rubric to an  assignment. Just as @JenniferAllen1 has pointed out, it is still there. If you don't see it, it may be your internet  browser or device and you should try clearing your cache or trying another one.
