Hello mlobdell 
- Make sure that each of your discussion topics is "published". How do I publish or unpublish a discussion as an instructor?
- If you have added these discussion topics to your course "Modules" page, make sure that the module you added the topic to is also "published". How do I publish or unpublish a module as an instructor?
There are many written Guides all about Discussions, but I would first ask that you review this short tutorial, , and then review the written Guides if you want to dig a bit deeper.
