I use Canvas New Quizzes that are proctored through Honorlock. Students see assignments in the course calendar and, of course, click on the links to the assignments. When they click on the exams in the calendar, the links take them directly to the exam rather than to the Honorlock page. Since they bypass the Honorlock page, they are frequently asking me for the access code, which, if done correctly they do not need. Honorlock will automatically enter the code for them after they launch the exam through Honorlock. Is there a way to edit the links in the calendar so that when they click on an Honorlock exam, the link will take them to the Honorlock page?
Hi there, @barinear ...
Full disclosure...I've not used Honorlock before, so I can't speak to the functionality of that software. Regarding the Canvas Calendar, my initial thought would be that those links are not editable because they point to specific content within Canvas. Are you able to list your Honorlock New Quizzes items within your "Modules" index page? If so, it sounds like you'd want to make absolutely clear that your students need to be accessing this content through your "Modules" page and not through the Calendar. You might already do this through a course announcement or by some other means, but I thought I'd suggest it just in case. Not sure if any of this will help or not, but I thought I'd provide my $0.02...for what it's worth.
Thank you for your reply. Yes, I try my best to inform them to enter the Honorlock quiz and exams through the Honorlock tab; but, as you may guess, students don't always pay attention to what I instruct. They are accustomed to clicking on the assignments in the calendar. Again, thanks for your reply.
