Editing a Canvas Course

So, I am an editor in chief for my yearbook class, along with two others. It is largely a student run class, and when we have deadlines we want to have people submit their work, so we can give feedback and organize content. Basically, what I am asking is if students can create a course with shared editing access. I also don't want to use canvas collaboration, it feels like the same thing as a discussion or just using a shared google doc.

Welcome, AveryPeacock! The ability to create courses is left up to the Canvas Administrators. You, as a student, will not be able to create a class, probably, but ask your Yearbook Advisor if they can create a course for you, and put you in. Again, your teacher may not have the ability depending upon what permissions the district Canvas admins give to teachers. Your advisor can certainly ask the admin for such a course. Best of luck!
