So I am trying to import a video of a phenomenon from savvas. It comes across as an assignment worth 100 points. I go to edit the assignment to change it to not graded and when I do it erases the video that was there when I imported it. The question in essence is, how do I edit something imported from savvas without losing the video?

Are you importing the video as an external tool like the image below?
If so then indeed, when setting the assignment as "Not Graded", you cannot include the external tool, or any submission type at all.
One alternative is to keep it as graded, but more the assignment to an assignment group that has 0% weight in the course.
If you are not familiar with weights for assignment groups, check How do I weight the final course grade based on assignment groups?
Another is to set the assignment points at 0. Note that in this case, if the Savvas tool returns a certain point value, it might count as bonus points in the final grade - you might want to test that, or perhaps someone else in the community can confirm.
