File capacity for students

A student informs me that canvas is saying that she has reached her file capacity for uploads. What is the limit?

Normally 50 MB. The quota will likely say 0 MB used, but files that are uploaded to be used in a discussion count against the 50 MB limit, as do any media comments or attachments the student has sent.

The fix is for the student to go through and delete some files from their Account > Files page. The problem is that some of those things may be important and they may not know which ones to delete. For example, if a student has a file they uploaded for a discussion, deleting the file will remove it from the discussion. If the faculty hasn't graded it yet, then this is obviously problematic.
