Finding the initial materials for first time user

WHERE do I go to get the initial course materials? I can't find my books to download them.

Welcome to the Canvas Community.  This is a public discussion board for Canvas users from different schools all over the world.  

If you do not know how to locate and log into your school's Canvas server, you'll want to contact the Help Desk at you school, since we don't have any specific information about Canvas accounts at your school.

If you have logged into your school's Canvas server and found your classes in Canvas, but have questions about specific materials, it's best to contact your instructor.

I am the instructor but I can't find the student text book or materials that go with it.
