Grading Reminders

On the right side of the screen in Dashboard mode, there is a To Do list showing me the assignments and discussion posts that students have submitted which I need to grade. I'm wondering what generates that list? For some reason I receiver alerts for the sixth and final exam of the course but I do not receive alerts for exams 1-5. I have checked the details on how I created the exams and everything looks the same. How can I change the settings to receive alerts for these exams? Thanks
